What we store
To calculate a chart we store the birth date, time and place you enter, the name or label you give the chart, the chart itself, the readings we generate for it, and any questions you ask about it together with the answers. We store the time zone your browser reports (a cookie named xpt_tz) so "today" is your today, and a cookie (xpt_guest) that remembers which charts you made on this device.
If you create an account we store the email address you sign up with and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google we store the email address of that Google account and its account identifier, nothing else from your Google profile. Your charts are then kept under the account and can be opened from any device.
If you buy a report on the website, Stripe handles the payment; we receive the payment reference, the amount and the email you gave Stripe, never your card number. In the Stellunia app, Google Play handles purchases; we receive the purchase token and the product bought, never your card. Either way we keep a record of what was bought, when, and for how much.
The Stellunia app also sends crash reports and basic diagnostics (device model, operating-system version, app version and what went wrong) to Firebase Crashlytics, and, if you turn on the daily notification, a push token to Firebase Cloud Messaging. Neither carries your name or email, and the app does not use an advertising identifier. The app also counts a few anonymous steps once a day (opened the app, reached a sign-in screen, signed in, and whether a notification prompt was allowed); these counts carry no device identifier, name or email, and we only ever see daily totals.
What we do with it
Only what you see on the site and in the app: calculating charts, writing readings, answering questions, generating reports, sending you the link you paid for, and sending the notifications you asked for. We do not sell or share personal data, and we do not use it to train models. Readings, answers and reports are written by an AI model from the chart facts our engine computes; the model receives the chart facts, the label you chose and the question you typed, nothing else about you.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider (the server the site runs on), Stripe (payments on the website), Google Play (purchases in the app), Firebase (crash reports and notifications for the app) and the AI provider that writes the readings (it receives chart facts and your questions, not your name or email). Each of them processes the data for us and may not use it for anything else. Place names come from GeoNames; positions from NASA JPL ephemerides. No advertising networks, no analytics that identify you.
Famous people's charts
The famous birth charts show public figures' charts calculated from the birth date and birthplace published on Wikidata, which is in the public domain. We add no birth times, photos or life stories of our own, and the AI paragraph on a page describes only the chart. We do not list anyone under 18. If one of these pages is about you, or about someone you represent, and you want it corrected or removed, email support@stellunia.com: we remove it within 7 days and it is not added back.
How long
Charts, readings and answers stay until you delete them, and an account stays until you delete it (see Your data, which also says what is kept after deletion). Payment records are kept as long as accounting law requires. Crash reports expire on their own within 90 days.
Age
Stellunia is for adults. Do not use it if you are under 18. We do not knowingly keep data about anyone under 18; if you think we do, email us and we will delete it.
